Come November 17th, Halo: The Master Chief Collection on PC will receive its final game with Halo 4. 343 Industries’ first attempt at the series will be available as part of the Master Chief Collection or as a separate title for just $9.99. Enjoy the new trailer here!
A long journey finally nears its end. With Halo 4, the MCC on PC soon reaches completion. In a span of less than a year, Microsoft stood behind made good on its promise to PC gamers.
Halo 4 is a divisive entry. Not only was it the first non-Bungie developed Halo game but it also featured lots of changes to the franchise. And not everyone was happy. It still is a worthwhile entry despite it all. So, it’s great to see a rather forgotten Halo game get a second chance.
And seeing how well the reception by PC gamers went so far, chances are gamers will give Halo 4 the chance it deserved and embrace it without reservations.
Naturally, Halo 4 on PC of course offers uncapped framerates that go well beyond 60fps and resolutions even above 4K. Native keyboard and mouse control is also present. But PC gamers will get even further improvements like deep customization and vast graphical options.
Yet, some questions remain. Halo 4 is the final entry into Halo: The Master Chief Collection. But that doesn’t mean that every Halo game made it to the PC. Of course, we’re talking about Halo 5: Guardians. An arguably even more divisive entry than the fourth game. But since it released long after the original Master Chief Collection, it was never part of it.
We wouldn’t be shocked if Microsoft decided to port Halo 5 sooner or later. Now, that Halo Infinite will launch day-and-date on PC and the Xbox, it would be very weird to have one missing game on the platform.
