With next generation rumors popping up everyday, and an inevitable reveal on the horizon, Microsoft and 343 Industries look to be offering one last “hooh-rah” with a Halo 4 Xbox 360 bundle, details of which have been leaked online today.
IGN first spotted the since-pulled retail listing for the, seemingly, limited edition Halo 4-themed Xbox 360. The image below showcases the $400-listed system, including a custom-designed console that’s rumored to play Halo noises when ejecting/loading a disc and when turning your console on/off. The bundle also includes a pair of controllers, as well as Halo 4, and finally a generic headset for online play.
Since its leak, several sources are reporting that the bundle will also include in-game DLC in the form of weapon skins, character outfits, avatar items, and much more, though this is still entirely unknown.
Though Microsoft has yet to announce the console, all signs point to this being real. When you consider Microsoft’s (and all first-party console makers at that) lackluster year thus far in console sales, this would definitely boost some sales and make for a great Holiday item. Keep your eyes peeled the next few days for an official announcement at San Diego Comic Con where the game is being showcased heavily.
