343 Industries has detailed the pricing for the Halo 5: Guardians REQ packs using both in-game currency or real, hard-earned cash. There are three packs in total consisting of Gold, Silver and Bronze tiers that will be organized as follows according to Halo waypoint:
- Bronze: Bronze REQ Packs include Common, single use REQs, but is likely to unlock a new permanent REQ (if you haven’t already unlocked all of them).
- Silver: Silver REQ Packs include Common to Rare REQs with the added value of two new permanent REQs (if you haven’t already unlocked all of them).
- Gold: Gold REQ Packs contain a large number of REQs ranging from Uncommon to Legendary. Players are guaranteed two new permanent REQs (if you haven’t already unlocked all of them).
The way in which you will acquire these RP points will let you purchase a pack after every match if you wish. On average, you will earn approximately 2000RP per Warzone match according to 343, with prices coming in at 1,250; 5,000; and 10,000 RP respectively. If you want to use real cash, the silver and gold packs will be available for purchase at $2 or $3 each.
You will receive 7500 RP free of charge simply for buying the game, including 54 REQ cards of all three levels. If you didn't pick up the Limited or Collector's edition to get the REQ bundle for free, you will be able to purchase it separately for $25, which will include two packs a week for seven weeks — 14 packs total.
