Recently a leak started making rounds on the internet, supposedly it showed off Halo 5: Guardians' multiplayer mode Warzone. It turns out that the leak has some credence to it, Microsoft has confirmed that the images and video showing off Warzone's menu and Spartan customization was part of the game's external multiplayer testing.
On Microsoft representative told Destructoid that the leak specifically came from testing: “This Halo 5: Guardians content is part of our ongoing private, external testing for multiplayer.” Another representative lamented that leaks like this were 'unfortunate.'
"It's unfortunate when work-in-progress content leaks, but this Halo 5: Guardians content is part of our ongoing private, external testing for multiplayer. We will continue to rigorously test Halo 5: Guardians to ensure the best possible experience for fans at launch."
Continuing on with the series of misfortune, you can expect the leakers to be dealt with through a strict ban set in place by Microsoft. Testers that leaked Gears of War Ultimate Edition had the joy of waking up to their consoles bricked and banned by Microsoft. You can catch the leaked video above and the screenshots from the leak on the following page.
