Halo 5’s Firefight mode finally has some details and gameplay

It's like warzone but with angry Grunts instead

Not long ago 343 Industries announced that Firefight would be coming back to Halo 5 and now we got some details on what Firefight will look like in Halo 5: Guardians as well as a trailer for the new mode.

The world premier of Firefight gameplay took place at the Halo World Championship 2016 Finals and now Xbox also released a longer article detailing what we can expect.

The new mode will be called Warzone Firefight and will be, like the name suggests, a mix between Warzone and Firefight and will pitch a team of eight humans against a whole bunch of aliens. 343 Industries says

Warzone Firefight is an ambitious new multiplayer experience that takes the initial promise of Halo 5’s Warzone multiplayer – the epic battles, incredible scale and huge maps – and applies that to create the biggest Halo cooperative experience ever in franchise history. In Warzone Firefight, up to eight players will work together to complete five rounds of increasingly difficult, dynamic objectives set against a timer to emerge victorious.

Warzone Firefight will feature more enemies than ever before on the same map in Halo history, making battles both huge and frantic. A new tier of enemies will be added as well, the Mythic  tier. A tier that will include enemies that will be even harder than Warden Eternal. They said "Thought the Warden Eternal was menacing? You ain’t seen nothing yet." so when Mythic enemies shows up it seems best to just hide in a corner and let your teammates handle it.
Gamers will be able to access their whole REQ library in Warzone Firefight, just like in regular Warzone. So gamers can use all the weapons, vehicles, power ups, and all that good stuff they are used to have in Warzone in Warzone Firefight as well.

343 Industries are sure that Warzone Firefight will be a fan favorite. The objectives will be dynamic as well so you can theoretically play thousands of matched before seeing the same combination of objectives. Warzone Firefight will be released during  the summer but there is not a fixed date for the release yet.

"In Warzone Firefight, it won’t be enemy players that give you pause – it’ll be the hordes of angry Grunts."
