As promised, Microsoft last night lifted the lid on the mysterious Halo 5: Guardians teaser site. The page introduces us to Benjamin Giraud, a journalist and war photographer in the Halo universe "hired to do an in-depth profile of the Master Chief."
The page seems to serve as a hub for a new episodic narrative audio series that provides us with background clues on the story of Halo 5, starting with Giraud's first audio log "Episode 00. Primer."
"What began as a high-profile hero story quickly turns into a full-blown investigation," Giraud writes. "Sources claim they know the 'real Master Chief': The boy, the soldier, the hero…the traitor? But who’s telling the truth?"
Have a listen below and get ready for the first story trailer for Halo 5: Guardians next week.
New audio episodes will be released each week via the website for 12 weeks, leading up to E3 in June 2015.
