Halo: Legends, the small collection of anime shorts featuring the likes of Master Chief and the ODST's, is now on Netflix, available to anyone with a streaming subscription. Legends released all the way back in 2010 and was created by six different Japanese production houses, Bee Train, Bones, Casio Entertainment, Production I.G., Studio 4°C, and Toei Animation.
Each episode is a self-contained story within the Halo universe and lengths vary from ten to twenty minutes. Here's an official description courtesy of the trailer's YouTube page:
This sweeping science-fiction saga delves into the rich Halo universe with seven exciting stories focused on the Master Chief’s mysterious origins, the Spartans’ advanced combat capabilities and the tense rivalry between Spartans and Orbital Drop Shock Troopers (ODSTs). Created in collaboration with some of the world’s leading animators from Japan, Halo Legends draws you into the center of humankind’s ongoing battles with the Covenant, dynamically depicted in cutting-edge animation styles that deliver breathtaking visuals and gripping adventure.
Like anything on Netflix these days, there's no telling how long Legends will be up, but given that this is only Day 1, you've probably got some time.
