Halo: ODST joins the MCC on PC later this month

343 Industries has announced that in one week, on September 22nd, Halo: ODST is going to launch on PC as part of The Master Chief Collection. Check out the announcement trailer below!

A momentous occasion is rearing its head. With the arrival of ODST, the entire Bungie saga of Halo games will be complete and readily available on the PC for the first time ever. But there’s more reason to be excited than just that!

Halo: ODST holds a special place among the iconic franchise for plenty of reasons. It’s arguably Bungie’s most experimental and unique Halo title bar none. Yes, Reach offered the actual final stage for the Halo dev and it also featured new playable characters, but ODST is a real game-changer.

Known for their courage, valor, and penchant for tackling the impossible, Orbital Drop Shock Troopers, pride themselves on being the first unit deployed into hostile situations. In Halo 3: ODST, return to familiar ground as one of these elite soldiers and drop into the ruined city of New Mombasa to search for clues behind the Covenant’s catastrophic attack on the sprawling metropolis.

The game brought guerilla tactics and wildly different narrative designs to the fray unlike anything before or after it. Set in a dense and destroyed megacity on Earth, Halo: ODST also has the honor of featuring one of the most special locales in the entire series.

As part of the titular Orbital Drop Shock Troopers, the player is pit against an utterly wrecked city that is overrun by Covenant forces. Opposite to other Halo games, the player has to use guerilla and stealth tactics under these circumstances while trying to rejoin with his scattered team.

Halo: ODST will be available this September 22nd on PC via Steam and Microsoft Store. You’ll be able to purchase it separately for $9.99 or get instant access at no additional cost when owning The Master Chief Collection.
