The day-one title update for Halo: The Master Chief Collection has been released and is now available for download. 343 Industries executive producer Dan Ayoub first announced the news, but we can now confirm with our own copy of the game that you are able to download it now.
The update checks in at around 15GB, which is a bit smaller than the original 20GB update originally expected. The content update is said to enable the competitive multiplayer suite, Forge, Theater, and more, as well as fixes and "polish" throughout the entire collection of games.
To download the update, your Xbox One needs to be in instant on-mode, and auto updates need to be enabled as well. The update is also only available to those who purchased the game digitally through the Xbox Store, as it functions as a preload. As a reminder, preloading Halo: The Master Chief Collection, or its day-one update, doesn't mean you'll be allowed to play early; it simply means that when the game unlocks on November 11, you can jump right in without having to wait to download the content on launch day.
