Halo: The Master Chief Collection matchmaking improves, more updates on the way

As promised, 343 Industries deployed a number of server updates this morning to help improve online matchmaking in Halo: The Master Chief Collection. According to the developer, these updates — which were server-side, meaning no download necessary — should expedite search times and allow you to find multiplayer matches faster and easier.

"We are actively monitoring data for wait times and will continue to modify as necessary," 343 said, adding that they are still monitoring all non-matchmaking feedback, and still targeting another update release for this weekend.

The next update for Halo: The Master Chief Collection is set to arrive tonight at 5pm PST (8pm EST). We'll let you know when that happens.

Halo: The Master Chief Collection is now available for Xbox One exclusively. You can find our review in progress, which addresses the single-player offerings, here.
