Halo: The Master Chief Collection still suffering from matchmaking problems

Still having problems finding a match in Halo: The Master Chief Collection's online multiplayer? You're probably not alone.

In the latest update from 343 Industries, the developer confirmed that yesterday morning's server-side update did improve matchmaking for many users, but also acknowledged that many are still seeing "longer than expected times." As a result, more updates are expected to be released.

343 was supposed to deploy additional server updates aimed at improving searching times and increasing the likelihood of players finding games, but an issue with Xbox LIVE Services last night delayed it temporarily. It looks like Xbox LIVE's servers are back up, but we haven't had an update since then. It's worth noting that if the server-side updates did go through already, you probably won't notice them — unless you see improvements with matchmaking — since they don't require you to download an additional patch.

In last night's post, 343 Industries also confirmed that stats and achievements are not registering. The developer assured they are working with Xbox LIVE to ensure that these issues are fixed as quickly as possible.

"As we stated previously, the 343 team continues to work around the clock to provide ongoing improvements to the experience for Halo: The Master Chief Collection. Thank you for the ongoing patience and support," 343 said. As always, we'll continue to update you when we learn more.
