Halo TV series still in development

Back in 2013 it was revealed that director Steven Spielberg would be overseeing a Halo TV series, since the reveal things have been a bit quiet. We have yet to see a trailer or hear details about it from Spielberg, Microsoft or 343 Industries.

Has it died, should we bury our hopes for the series right now? Apparently, no it isn't time to let the hope die — we must keep believing!

Today's Television Critics Association press tour shed light on the Halo series. It seems as though the series is alive and well, tucked away from our sights in the Showtime vaults. IGN questioned Showtime president David Nevins whether or not the company was involved in Halo's series and whether or not they could offer up an update on the series.

Nevins replied with a short, but sweet answer to that:

"It's still in development. Still in very active development."

There was no further elaboration, except the face that we won't be seeing it any time soon. Sidenote, when it was first revealed they announced the series would be releasing alongside Halo 5: Guardians. Guess when they said that they really meant Halo 343: The Death of your Dreams (it's a joke, don't hate me). At least we know the TV series is still alive, right guys?!
