Halo Wars 2: Complete Edition pops up on Amazon, releasing later this month

That was fast.

How fast is too fast? Seven months after initially releasing, it looks like Halo Wars 2 is already getting a "Complete Edition" according to a new store page on Amazon. Digital codes for Halo Wars 2: Complete Edition can now be preordered for $59.99 and will unlock on Tuesday, September 26th.

Halo Wars 2: Complete Edition comes with the following, per the Amazon store page:

  • Halo Wars 2 – 12 campaign missions playable solo or co-op online, 6 multiplayer leaders across the UNSC and Banished forces, a variety of traditional multiplayer modes, plus Blitz PVP and PVE
  • Halo Wars 2: Season Pass – Includes 7 additional multiplayer leaders and 2 campaign missions
  • Awakening the Nightmare – 5 campaign missions, 2 new multiplayer leaders, and an all-new tower-defense co-op mode – Terminus Firefight

So in a matter of just over half of a calendar year, Halo Wars 2 has released in full, sold a Season Pass, released DLC that is not covered by the Season Pass, and now has a Complete Edition tying all three together which is $20 less than the Ultimate Edition was at launch. Yep, these are the times we live in.

So if you haven't picked up Halo Wars 2, you might as well hold off another week and a half and get the Complete Edition, which will hopefully be the last package for Halo Wars 2.
