While we patiently trod along towards Star Wars: The Last Jedi's release this year, production on the Han Solo spinoff, codenamed Star Wars: Red Cup, has officially begun. The Han Solo spinoff was confirmed to be in production by co-director Chris Miller, who made a play on the iconic 'Han shot first' debate.
Cinematographer, Bradford Young, has described the Han Solo spinoff as being: complex, layered, smart, visual, dramatic, funny, uneasy, and unexpected.
In addition to confirming the film being in production, Miller revealed the working title for the film to be 'Red Cup.' Get it, Solo Red Cup. Solo makes those Red Cups that youngin's use to play beer pong with and it's a movie about a reckless young Han Solo – I'll stop now.
