Happy Wars is heading to Windows 10 in December, will feature cross-platform support

Xbox 360, Xbox One, and Windows 10 users all on one battlefield

Happy Wars is indeed still alive and kicking, and developer Toylogic has announced that the game will be coming to Windows 10 next month and will feature cross-platform compatibility with the Xbox 360 and Xbox One versions of the game. Happy Wars is a large-scale online multiplayer action battle game that features matches of up to 16 players. It was the first free-to-play game ever to hit the Xbox 360 back in 2012 and released on the Xbox One in 2014.

Toylogic's President and Executive Director, Yoichi Take said:

"We are honored and fortunate to have so many fans of Happy Wars. We will continue to focus on delivering fun and exciting content alongside servicing Happy Wars fans with relentless efforts being put forth with ongoing fixes and updates as well as the introduction of new features and items.

We celebrate this year with the launch of Happy Wars for Windows 10 Gaming to maximize the play experience for our gamers around the world. We are thrilled for the upcoming release and look forward to seeing players online."

With the release of Happy Wars on Windows 10, the Steam version will be closing up shop. This is because Toylogic will be consolidating their efforts to focus exclusively on the cross-platform play which would have been impossible to do with the Steam version. If you are a Happy Wars player on Steam, you can transfer your data over to the new Windows 10 version via the game's launcher. For more detailed instructions on how to do this, head over here.

Happy Wars officially launches on Windows 10 on December 15, 2016.
