Indiana Jones — do you bring back Harrison Ford or do you reboot the franchise, recasting the iconic character with a new actor? This is the question many of the suits at Disney are debating right now. We've heard talks of Chris Pratt assuming the role, only to be debunked by producer Frank Marshall who claims the only Indy will ever be Harrison Ford.
If that's the case, will we ever get another Indiana Jones? Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, the 73-year-old actor said he would love to return for another Indy adventure.
“Oh, yeah. Yeah, I’d love to do another Indiana Jones,” Ford told EW. “A character that has a history and a potential, kind of a rollicking good movie ride for the audience, Steven Spielberg as a director — what’s not to like?”
Judging by the reaction to Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull I think there's a lot not to like, although I get the feeling that disdain towards that movie had more to do with the overall direction than Ford's acting.
In the same interview with EW, Harrison Ford also discussed the inevitable recasting of his legendary character Han Solo in an upcoming Star Wars Anthology spin off. Check out what he had to say about that.
