Harrison Ford Helping to Create Facebook Game

Harrison Ford is braving uncharted territory: the world of social gaming. The Hollywood star is helping LA-based studio Talkie to create Ecotopia, a free-to-play Facebook game.

Ecotopia focuses on building cities, and building them with the intention of going green. Players must utilize available resources to transform an uninhabitable environment into a living, working city.

Ford is Vice Chairman of Conservation International, a nonprofit organization concerned with nature and the preservation of life. “I’m excited to be involved with Ecotopia because I see it as a great way to engage millions of people in our fight to protect our planet by taking action online and in our daily lives,” he said. “As we work to address the most fundamental issues facing humanity, I think Ecotopia will help get people involved in a way that is fun, educational, and meaningful.”

Ecotopia drops on Facebook this spring and will expand to “additional online platforms” later this year. So what do you say? Do you trust Indiana Jones/Han Solo enough to follow him into Ectopia?
