UPDATE:

Anthony Mackie has gon back on his statement during an interview on Seth Meyer's The Tonight Show (via GamesRadar), saying  he was just trying to give some 'respect' to fellow actors actors:

"I was giving respect to my fellow actors. I was saying Marvel movies are so great because they have great actors: the likes of Mark Ruffalo, Scarlett Johansson, Robert Downey Jr. And people take that to mean that I’m saying this is what the movie’s about and this is what’s in the movie."

ORIGINAL:

In a recent interview with BBC Radio 1, Captain America: Civil War star, Antony Mackie, dished on the new movie and the direction the Marvel franchise has been going. When asked how he feels about Civil War's final product he stated, "It's Marvel's best movie thus far."

(function(d, s, id) { var js, fjs = d.getElementsByTagName(s)[0]; if (d.getElementById(id)) return; js = d.createElement(s); js.id = id; js.src = “//connect.facebook.net/en_US/sdk.js#xfbml=1&version=v2.3”; fjs.parentNode.insertBefore(js, fjs);}(document, ‘script’, ‘facebook-jssdk’));

Continuing about his experience working on the project, he praised his costars in the film for their amazing talent and skill, namely Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson, and…Mark Ruffalo! The surprise comes from the fact that it has already been confirmed both Hulk and Thor would have no involvement in the Civil War, both teaming up instead for 2017's Thor: Ragnarok.

While its entirely possible Mark Ruffalo's part might be nothing more than a small cameo or even a deleted scene that's not in the final cut, its hard to imagine that name would slip out unless Ruffalo had some kind of memorable involvement. There has still been no confirmation of this new intel, but with or without the lovable green goliath, Captain America: Civil War should prove to be one of the best movies of the year!

Captain America: Civil War releases May 6th!
