Earlier this week, Miami Heat Center Hassan Whiteside attributed his rise to stardom to simply wanting to improve his overall in NBA 2K15, the latest installment in the 2K basketball series.
Thanks to a career performance against the Chicago Bulls in which he recorded 14 points, 13 rebounds, and 12 blocks in just 24 minutes of play, 2K was forced to listen to his demands. A day later, his overall leapt 18 points from 59 to 77.
Whiteside isn't done yet, though. While there was no mention of NBA 2K15 in the post-game interview following Tuesday's loss against the Milwaukee Bucks, Whiteside's performance — 16 points, 16 rebounds — spoke for itself. The performance was apparently good enough for another overall boost, though this one was considerably less.
In the latest NBA 2K15 roster update, Whiteside sees his overall jump a point — from 77 to 78 — with an increase of +7 to Defensive Rebound and +5 to Box Out.
Simply put, the kid is on fire. Whiteside looks to boost his NBA 2K15 overall again with a game tomorrow against the Dallas Mavericks.
On a side note, we also found out how Whiteside learned he was signing with the Heat.
