Destructive Creations' controversial shooter Hatred is headed to Steam Greenlight, and to "celebrate" this milestone the small indie team has released a new teaser trailer.
The new trailer is much shorter than the one released during the game's announcement, providing little more than a look at the nonsensical violence the game glorifies. Hatred is a game created to to "go against trends." Rather than create something polite, colorful, and politically correct, Destructive Creations is aiming for "something different, something that could give the player a pure gaming pleasure." Well, if mindless violence against cops, women, and other innocent civilians is your idea of pleasure, then Hatred is probably a game you'll want to check out.
We previously reached out to Destructive Creations with a slew of questions when the game was first announced, but we've yet to hear back from them. On the bright side, a few of our questions were answered through details provided by the Steam Greenlight page.
Hatred fills your whole body. You’re sick and tired of humanity’s worthless existence. The only thing that matters is your gun and pure Armageddon that you want to unleash.
You will go out for a hunt, you will clear the American soil off humans with cold blood. You will shoot, you will hurt, you will kill, you will die. There are no rules, no compassion, no mercy, no point of going back. You are the lord of life and death now and you have the full control over lifes of worthless human scum.
You will also run, you will need to think, you will need to hide and fight back when armored forces will come to take you down. You will have no mercy for them, because they dare to come in your way.
Only brutality and destruction can clear this land. Only the killing spree will make you die spectacularly and go to hell.
As you can see from the teaser above, Hatred is an isometric shooter in which you'll go on a mad journey into the hateful mind of the Antagonist. You'll explore seven free-roam locations starting from New York State, spreading Armageddon upon society as you fight against law enforcement and brutally slaughter civilians. Destructive Creations does promise a plot, but didn't offer any details other than it'll evolve "in a non-linear way."
Hatred was met with mixed reactions when it was first announced with many, including myself, criticizing it for its mindless, over-the-top violence depicted against innocent civilians.
Hatred is set for release on PC in Q2 2015. Destructive Creations promises a full new gameplay trailer to be released in January.
