Hatred pre-order availability delayed until next week

New trailer delayed as well

Destructive Creations' controversial shooter Hatred was supposed to be come available for pre-order this week. In fact, the developer had a whole release "pack" put together with a new trailer and everything. Unfortunately, it looks like we'll have to wait a bit longer before we can buy the game or see the trailer. Both have been delayed due to problems with the digital shop.

Problems with the store were first noted earlier this week, but it was expected to be delayed just a few days. Now it looks like the whole thing has to be created from scratch, delaying it until at least next week.

"Alright guys – we decided that our shop has to be redone from scratch," developer Destructive Creations said. "That means we will have to wait a moment with the new propaganda assault."

"But don't worry too much, it won't be long," the developer assured, refusing to give a specific date because "we don't want it to be fuc*ed up again."

When asked if they could at least release the trailer, the developer responded, "Nah, we have to put the whole pack together. It wasn't an empty promise, we just didn't know that someone will fu*k up something and it's actually not our fault (besides picking up someone we didn't know to do the job – never again)."

As you can imagine, the announcement of the delay was met with harsh reaction from fans eager for more Hatred. Destructive Creations responded exactly as one would expect — like a company not afraid to tell it how it is.

"Remember, we could act like a "normal" company – not to tell our fans about our trailer plans, or right now to just stay quiet and write official statement like "we've changed our plans". But no, we admit that something just got fucked up, life's a bitch sometimes."

Barring anymore problems, the Hatred store is expected to debut next week along with pre-order availability and a new trailer. It's worth pointing out that pre-orders will only be available via the game's website; however, it will be the Steam version of the game.

Hatred recently received an Adults Only rating from the ESRB which Destructive Creations questioned at first. According to the ESRB, "the context" of the game, which puts you in the shoes of a cold-blooded murderer on a mass killing spree for no apparent reason, was reason enough for the rating. The brutal nature of the game also caused a temporary hiccup with Valve which removed Hatred from Steam Greenlight only to have company founder Gabe Newell step in and reinstate it. Suffice to say, the game has had its fair share of controversy and it's not even out yet.
