Hawkeye joins Marvel’s Avengers, Plus massive Open Beta detailed

Square Enix has concluded the second War Table showcase where they shared lots of exciting new details about Marvel’s Avengers and its upcoming Beta. Alongside tons of content for everyone to try out for free, we also see the introduction of Hawkeye into the game. Check out the trailers below!

With only one month left until the Crystal Dynamics’ and Eidos Montreal’s highly anticipated superhero game launches, we now get to see and learn more about it and its imminent beta. Super spy and sharpshooter Hawkeye is unveiled to enter the illustrious cast of heroes after the game’s launch.

The undoubted highlight of the new War Table is the Beta however which has been detailed in a great new gameplay trailer. And from the looks of it, it’s a must-play. Not only does it feature single-player content from the campaign, but there are also tons more to experiment and battle with the inclusion of co-op War Zone missions, Drop Zones, and HARM Room Challenges. Progress from the Beta will carry over, so there’s plenty of reason to play even if you already decided to buy the play the game on launch day.

With a selection of four hero characters to plays – Black Widow, Iron Man, Hulk, and Kamala – players of the Beta will be able to test out each different hero class. From flying ones to powerhouses, they’re all accounted for here.

The date for the Beta are as following:

• August 7-9: PlayStation Advantage Pre-Order BETA: The first BETA weekend will be available for those who have pre-ordered the game on PlayStation 4. Pre-load will be available on August 6.
• ·August 14-16: PlayStation Advantage Open BETA & Xbox/PC Closed BETA: The second BETA weekend will be open to the entire PS4 community as part of our PlayStation Advantage partnership. Additionally, those of you who have pre-ordered the game on Xbox or PC will be able to jump in and play. Pre-load will be available on August 13.
• ·August 21: Open BETA for All: August 21 – 23 will give all fans across all platforms a chance to jump in and play the Marvel’s Avengers BETA! Pre-load will be available on August 20.

Marvel’s Avengers launches September 4th for PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Google Stadia. Next-gen versions are launching after the systems come out.
