The day where you can use your PlayStation 4 to obsessively play video games and stream HBO movies and shows has finally come. That's right, HBO GO is officially hitting the PS4 today.
Sony has yet to specify when the app will be available to download, but they have confirmed that it will be some point today.
The app will function just like the PlayStation 3 version does. You will first need to get your PS4 authenticated with you cable service through HBOGO.com/activate, then the HBO world will be your oyster. That means every movie and show that is on HBO will be yours for viewing whenever you want.
The best part is that HBO is planning to offer a stand-alone subscription for HBO this year. If this that HBO GO app will still come in handy if you want to ditch that cable bill and grab the HBO subscription.
