Ninja Theory has announced during GDC that they have changed the name of their exclusive title Hellblade. By adding a subtitle, the game is now officially called Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice. It draws the attention more to the focus of Senua's mental illness post battle and how she deals with them going forward. Most likely, the game will continue to be referred to as Hellblade alone, as the official site has yet to be changed.
Hellblade made headlines on announcement with its newer take on game development. Opting for a hybrid Indie/AAA approach, the team is extremely small and used intuitive, new ways to develop their footage. From a real life body model to incredible facial animation, Ninja Theory has instituted a new way for smaller studios to developer major titles.
There is no release date yet, but Hellblade is set to release on both PS4 and PC simultaneously next year. For more information, stay tuned to the official site and check out the new official poster below.
