Previously a PlayStation exclusive, 4-person co-op top-down shooter Helldivers will be coming to Steam in December. The sci-fi Starship Troopers-esque game comes from the same team that handled Magicka and while there’s no price point currently available, the Steam release is confirmed to include the Masters of the Galaxy, Turning Up the Heat and the Democracy Strikes Back expansion packs.
As with Magicka, friendly fire is a danger that is unavoidable and relies heavily on teamwork and organization of roles and supplies. It’s a nice throwback to the difficult but rewarding vibes of old school top-downs and hosts an absolute abundance of DLC for expanded play.
