Hello Games denies surprise release for No Man’s Sky this week

Wild internet speculation coupled with "backstreet chatter" from VG247's friends have resulted in rumors that Hello Games is planning a surprise release for its highly anticipated game No Man's Sky during Sony's Paris Games Week this week. Well, that's not true.

Hello Games founder Sean Murray was asked about the October 27th release rumor and he promptly shot it down.

"I heard that rumour that [No Man's Sky] is stealth releasing on Oct. 27th. It is false," he wrote on Twitter.

While we probably won't get the actual game this week, there's still a chance Hello Games could finally announce a release date for No Man's Sky during Sony's press conference. Be sure to tune in live when it starts tomorrow, October 27th, at 10:00am Pacific (1:00pm Eastern).
