Cities: Skylines released just a week ago, but with full mod support at launch, modders haven't wasted any time. A kind NeoGaf user has trolled through the depths of the Steam Workshop and has found some of the best mods available for the city-building simulator.

Some mods, not all, will disable Steam Achievements unless you use the Mod Achievement Enabler (so grab this item first). Buildings won't disable Steam Achievements.
There are 2 different types of buildings: Growables and Poppables. Growables are buildings that are randomly built within their zone, meaning that you do not choose the specific plot for the building — they will simply rise in their zone (residential, industrial or commercial).
Any mod that is still in beta is a risk that you are taking, so as long as you understand that download away:
