Here are all 20 Games bundled with the PlayStation Classic

Today, Sony announced the whole lineup of games that are going to be included in the PlayStation Classic. The retro console tugging at gamers’ nostalgia is launching this December 3rd for only $99.99. Check out the games reveal trailer and walk down memory lane yourself!

The PlayStation Classic was unveiled a month ago and promptly became the talk among gamers across a wide range of generations. Now-adults whose first gaming experience was on the mighty PlayStation 1 were thrilled at the retro console, as were older generations who experienced the grand entrance of a new platform holder first-hand in the mid-90s.

After the stellar success stories of Nintendo’s own retro mini consoles, the NES Classic and SNES Classic, it was pretty much only a matter of time that other companies would jump on the lucrative bandwagon.

We have already seen a great detailed look at the console and its controllers during its reveal, alongside 5 of the 20 games which come bundled with the console. Now, Sony is sharing the remaining 15 games. Here’s the full list of game:

  • Battle Arena Toshinden
  • Cool Boarders 2
  • Destruction Derby
  • Final Fantasy VII
  • Grand Theft Auto
  • Intelligent Qube
  • Jumping Flash
  • Metal Gear Solid
  • Mr Driller
  • Oddworld: Abe’s Oddysee
  • Rayman
  • Resident Evil Director’s Cut
  • Revelations: Persona
  • Ridge Racer Type 4
  • Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo
  • Syphon Filter
  • Tekken 3
  • Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six
  • Twisted Metal
  • Wild Arms
Charming low-fi Polygon goodness

No question, with only 20 games, there is bound to be disappointment at the exclusion of some cult titles. But with over 2500 officially licensed games for the PS1, there’s simply no way everyone is going to be perfectly happy with the selection.

Overall, the inclusion of some major third-party heavy hitters like Final Fantasy VII, Grand Theft Auto and Metal Gear Solid is a very nice surprise. It’s not unheard-of that third-party companies become a hurdle, in terms of keeping the legacy of their old titles alive after all.

You can pre-order your PlayStation Classic right now on Sony’s website here.
