Every year for at least the past decade, Disney's Hollywood Studios plays host to Star Wars Weekend. As the name suggests, it's a weekend — well, multiple weekends in May and June — that pretty much celebrate all things Star Wars. And now that Disney officially owns the Star Wars brand, having acquired Lucasfilm Ltd. two years ago, the celebration at the company's theme park in Orlando, Florida has only grown.
This year, it's poised to grow some more as Disney plans on releasing Star Wars Episode 7 – The Force Awakens on December 18, 2015.
Disney's plans for the 2015 Star Wars weekends are still largely a mystery, but one thing you can always count on are wonderful photo opportunities and a chance to see some of the iconic actors who play your favorite characters in the various Star Wars movies and shows. Today, Disney posted the celebrities who are scheduled to appear for Star Wars Weekends 2015 at Disney's Hollywood Studios.
Weekend I (May 15 – 17)
Weekend II (May 22 – 24)
Weekend III (May 29 – 31)
Weekend IV (June 5 – 7)
Weekend V (June 12 – 14)
Appearing every week is Star Wars Weekends host James Arnold Taylor (Obi-Wan Kenobi in Star Wars: The Clone Wars and Star Wars Rebels). In addition to Ashley Eckstein’s Weekend IV guest spot, she will also be joining every day of the event as host of “Padawan Mind Challenge – Family Edition.”
