Here are the PC specs for Call of Duty: Black Ops 3

Is your PC ready for the future?

Sure, we still have a few months to go until the release of Call of Duty: Black Ops 3, but is it ever too late to start planning for the future — especially when it's a future as gritty and dark as the one Treyarch has seemingly established? Exactly.

So to that end, you've got six about six months to start upgrading your PC to meet these required specs:

  • Operating System: Windows 7 64-Bit / Windows 8 64-Bit / Windows 8.1 64-Bit
  • Processor: Intel® Core™ i3-530 @ 2.93 GHz / AMD Phenom™ II X4 810 @ 2.60 GHz
  • Memory: 6 GB RAM
  • Graphics: NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 470 @ 1GB / ATI® Radeon™ HD 6970 @ 1GB
  • DirectX: Version 11
  • Network: Broadband Internet connection

Treyarch notes they have a "dedicated team" working on features and optimizations for the PC version of the game, adding that players on "high-end rigs" will have "feature-rich options" available to them.

"You’ve invested in your rig, you want to be able to turn on all those options and play all maxed out," Treyarch boss Mark Lamia said. “And with moderate PCs we’re doing a lot of optimizations up front and making sure you can have an awesome experience too.”

This past weekend was filled with all sorts of Black Ops 3 news, including all new details about the game's multiplayer which will feature Specialists.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 will release on November 6, 2015. An open beta will be made available on PS4, Xbox One, and PC for anyone who pre-orders the game. There was no mention of Xbox 360, PS3, or Wii U, though Activision maintains "actual platform availability and launch(s)" are still "to be determined."
