As reports roll in about issues involving downloading Destiny's Update 2.0, players have been looking for a fix to get their downloads going and it looks like they found one. If you are experiencing your installation stopping at various points during downloading or halting during the transferring game content phase on your Xbox On this might be the fix you're looking for.
Users have reported that changing their DNS setting have doubled, if not completed their download. So, lets get it done!
First off, you want to head to 'Settings' on the Xbox One. In settings, under the Network tab you need to select 'Advanced Settings.' From there you will be able to a number of things, but what you should be looking for is a way to manually configure your DNS settings.
Once you have located the area to change your DNS settings, change the numbers to the following:
Those should jump start your download, if the download freezes again try switching your DNS to these:
The first two numbers are Google's and the second is OpenDNS. If you don't see a change in your download speed after changing the DNS, try a reboot and see if anything changes.
Good luck!
Note: This is not an official fix from Bungie, it's the typical way of speeding up the net.
