For the past few weeks, Bungie has been previewing new content coming to Destiny with its upcoming expansion House of Wolves.
For those who have missed these special livestream events, the developer released today a preview video, essentially overviewing the expansion's new content. There's a ton of changes and new content coming to Destiny, but the video preview above highlights the major additions.
You'll get a look at the wealth of new weapons, armor and gear you can earn in new story missions, the three new competitive multiplayer maps, and the new cooperative Strike. There's also The Prison of Elders, the new cooperative end-game arena activity for Guardians to take on, as well as the Trials of Osiris for those of you who prefer PvP. And of course, you'll get a quick tour of the Reef and all the interesting characters you'll meet there.
Destiny Expansion II: House of Wolves will be available on Tuesday, May 19th. It is the second of two planned expansions for Destiny, and is included as part of the Destiny Expansion Pass which is priced at $34.99. Alternatively, the expansion can be purchased individually for $19.99. Destiny's first expansion, The Dark Below, released in December of last year.
Earlier this week, during an call to investors, Activision revealed that Destiny's universe will be getting its "biggest addition" in the form of an update coming this fall. While we don't know exactly what this big addition will be, it was recently discovered that Bungie had trademarked the name "The Taken King."
