Destiny: The Taken King is now two weeks and change away from release, but we’re already treading on its launch month. To celebrate the start of September, Bungie and Activision today released the official launch trailer for the expansion.
Interestingly, The Taken King’s trophies and achievements were also recently revealed, albeit through an accidental leak. Most importantly, they point to a medley of story quests, including those related to the three new subclasses, Stormcaller, Sunbreaker and Nightstalker.
Although The Taken King will launch Tuesday, September 15, its raid will not be playable on day one. Dubbed King’s Fall, the raid is set in a new area, the Dreadnaught, and casts Oryx as the big baddy to beat. Bungie has yet to detail exactly when King’s Fall will release, but promises that they “definitely have a plan for when it’s going to be available.” If the release of the original raid, the Vault of Glass, is anything to go by, we can expect to see kings fall within September.
