Over the weekend there were plenty of leaks for the upcoming Call of Duty game from Sledgehammer Games, Call of Duty: WWII. On top of the weekend leaks and screenshots, a new advertisement (below) for the game popped up in Paris, France, confirming the rumored November 3rd, 2017 release.
The official reveal for Call of Duty: WWII will be coming April 26th at 10 AM PST.
Before we get into Call of Duty: WWII, it should be noted that Sledgehammer Games is also the studio behind Modern Warfare 3 and Advanced Warfare.
Marketing material has suggested PlayStation 4 owners will be seeing DLC for the game prior to Xbox One or PC owners, but that's nothing new. Activision partnered with Sony a while back, which means this will be the case for a number of games they publish – including Destiny 2.
The Call of Duty: WWII campaign will take us to Normandy on D-Day and across iconic locations and battles in Europe. The leaked marketing material details that the story will feature "bold, lifelike visuals" with "blockbuster cinematic authenticity" and will have a particular focus on the "unbreakable brotherhood of common men fighting to preserve freedom."
As far as multiplayer goes, details are light, but it is detailed as "grounded" which doesn't necessarily mean that there will be an inclusion of aerial battles. There's also the tease of "new ways to interact and socialize", which suggests that signing up to Activision's Call of Duty network might be a benefit. There was no mention of zombies.
Oh, and there will be co-op!
