Destiny 2's PC beta will begin in just a couple days but you're going to want to know a few things before you jump in!
First things first, you're going to want to pre-load it right now so you can start playing the second those servers go live. If you pre-ordered a digital copy, all you need to do is press install on the beta in the Battle.net app. Those who pre-ordered from a retailer will need to redeem their key on Bungie.net/redeem and wait for further instructions.
Next, you're going to want to know the controls so you don't have to waste time trying to figure them out while getting killed in PVP. Bungie has released the control scheme for you to memorize and it's fairly simple so you shouldn't have too much trouble remembering it. Additionally, if you're a text chat user, you can type /f to chat with your fireteam and /w to whisper.
Bungie is already preparing to fix some issues in the beta so if you encounter the following issues, have no fear. If you plan on capturing gameplay for YouTube or Twitch, you may encounter some issues with third-party apps.
The beta is set to go live on August 28th, probably around 11 AM ET if it's the same as consoles. If you didn't pre-order, you can jump in on the 29th. Destiny 2 hits consoles on September 6th while the PC will follow on October 24th.
