YouTube's Frost Danger knows that value of a good comparison, they have brought us through the evolution of Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain – from the initial reveal to the latest trailer and now Frost is taking on Gears of War Ultimate Edition.
The question is this, how different is Gears of War Ultimate Edition's cutscenes in comparison with the original version of the game? Very different.
The Ultimate Edition has crisp graphics, a whole new color spectrum and some stark differences in the actual content on the cutscenes. It's no surprise that the cinematics are different in the Ultimate Edition. The high definition remaster takes the original Gears of War game from 2006 and adds five unreleased chapters to campaign. If Coalition (formerly known as Black Tusk Studios) was going to go ahead and add new chapters, changing the cinematics a bit wouldn't be a stretch.
So, which do you think is better – the original or the remaster?
The Xbox One version of the Ultimate Edition is set to release August 25 for $40, with a PC version soon follow.
