The other Metroid game that was announced during E3 2017, Metroid: Samus Returns, will be releasing on the Nintendo 3DS next month and will hold us over until Metroid Prime 4 makes its eventual release. Metroid: Samus Returns takes Metroid II: Return of Samus and reimagines the title while keeping the 2D side-scrolling, instead of making it a straight port of the original game.
Samus Returns will bring a new Varia Suit for Samus, one that is a little flashier than the Varia Suit from Prime. Check out the comparison below:
