Here’s how much microtransactions will cost you in Fable Legends

When Lionhead Studios announced that Fable Legends will be delayed due to high 'ambitions' for the game, they also revealed that an additional 100,000 Xbox One owners would be invited to participate in the closed beta.

One of these additional closed beta participants took to Reddit to reveal why they believe "Fable Legends is going to suck." Their reasoning behind this thought was explained through a screenshot detailing microtransaction prices for in-game currency.

Here are the prices:

  • Pound of Gold (850 pieces)
    • $5
  • Mark of Gold (1850 pieces)
    • $10
  • Stone of Gold (2850 pieces)
    • $15
  • Hundredweight of Gold (6000 pieces)
    • $30
  • Ton of Gold (12,800 pieces)
    • $60

Without knowing how much a single item will cost in the game, it's hard to say whether or not these prices absolutely heinous or reasonable (as reasonable as microtransactions can be). Microtransactions in Fable Legends aren't that crazy, considering that the game is free-to-play. It will be no different than League of Legends or Planetside, in terms of being free while offering paid content/items.

Either way, we need to know how much items cost in the game before we get up in arms.
