Here’s how to force Pokemon GO to be available in your region on Android

Warning: Going this route could result in a ban from Niantic games. Update: The person saying you could get banned thought they were banned, but their app was messed up.

Pokemon GO has been rolling out in specific regions on iOS and Android, but not worldwide. This could be an issue for any Pokemon loving fan, but it doesn't have to be. Someone has already found a workaround for the pesky region locking.

All you need to do is open this APK file link on your Android. There will be a pop up that asks about installing an app without going through the Google Play store, but it's OK.

Once you download this file, all you need to do is go through the steps to download the file and boom, you're playing Pokemon GO on your Android. Sure, downloading files from the internet is never the safest thing, but… I did it and have yet to experience any issues.

However, it has been noted that the mobile game will drain your battery – it is a known issue… So play with a charger nearby.
