Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare's beta will begin tomorrow and it has a pretty sizable download of 19 GBs, so if you don't have really fast internet you'll probably want to pre-load the beta! Below you will find specific instructions on how to download the beta for the highly anticipated sci-fi shooter. Please note this will only work for users who have pre-ordered one of the digital versions of Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare, this includes the standard edition, digital deluxe edition, and the Legacy edition. If you pre-ordered from a retailer, you will need to go to the store you pre-ordered from and get an access key that you redeem on a website. You will be emailed a code to redeem on the PS4 store sometime in the next day or so.
1. Go to the PlayStation Store on your PS4
The first step is to go to the home screen of your PS4 and scroll all the way to the left and open up the PlayStation Store. If you haven't already, you can pre-order Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare from the PlayStation Store and you will be able to follow the next steps. If you've already pre-ordered, continue reading the next steps.
2. Go to the search bar in the PlayStation Store
Once you've opened the PlayStation Store, go to the search menu by scrolling to the very top of the screen. You will find the search button at the top next to the "Cart" button. Click on search and type in "Infinite W…" It should prevent you from typing beyond the 'W' in Warfare and should auto fill the results. On the right side of the screen you should see "Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare Beta".
3. Click on Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare Beta
Once you click on Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare Beta, there should be a download button. Please remember, this will not work if you have not pre-ordered digitally. Click download and then proceed on with your day like normal!
4. Wait for 10 AM PDT, October 14th and then enjoy!
The hardest part of this will be waiting. The beta will not begin for the public (there are members of the press playing right now that got early access) until tomorrow morning at 10AM PT, 12 PM CT, and 1 PM ET. Once the clock hits 10 AM PT, you can launch the beta and play as much as you want until Monday when the beta will end, but fear not, the beta will be available next weekend as well! The beta will start up again on the 21st and will be available for PS4 AND Xbox One owners. The beta will end the following Monday and then players will have to wait for the full game.
Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare releases on November 4th, 2016.
