Here’s our first look at Supergirl’s enemy Red Tornado

If the trailer for Supergirl wasn't harrowing enough, one look at Supergirl's enemy and you will be cringing in horror at the very thought that CBS would consider this costume as good representation of Red Tornado. Now, the first episode for the series leaked online some time ago and left people feeling 'OK' about the series, but Red Tornado is going to seriously need some VFX to be 'OK'.

Iddo Goldberg of Tut and Salem will be portraying Red Tornado in the upcoming Supergirl TV series from CBS starring Melissa Benoist, Mechad Brooks, Calista Flockhart, David Harewood and Chyler Leigh. CBS has described Goldberg's character as, “the most advanced android the world has ever seen. Designed by scientist T.O. Morrow for the U.S. Army as the ultimate superweapon, he soon becomes sentient, posing a grave danger to National City — including the people Supergirl cares about most.”

Now, I'm having a tough time placing Red Tornado — he appears as though he belongs in Power Rangers, but it's been argued that 1960's Star Trek was his true calling. Others (like my coworker) have said from a distance the costume appears like its covered in… doody.

Either way, check this bad boy out below:

Supergirl will premiere on CBS on October 26th.
