Bandai Namco has revealed the full list of cars that will be available in the base version of Project CARS. The Standard version comes with 65 cars, but if you pre-order it you get access to three more cars. If you buy the Limited Edition, you get access to five cars!
There will be one free car available for download around launch and a free car each month following the games release on the PS4, Xbox One and PC this May 8.
Porsche is one of most successful car manufacturers when it comes to racing. They have the most constructor wins at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, and it absolutely owns in endurance races like 12 Hours of Sebring or 24 Hours of Daytona. Why isn't it in this game (or almost any other game)? Because of an exclusive deal with EA.
There are three Ruf manufactured vehicles in the games that totally look like Porsches, but Ruf is a Porsche tuner. They take the chassis (the metal framework of a car) of a Porsche and various engines from Porsches and create their vehicles. It's still not a Porsche though.
Bottom line, Porsche is amazing and should be featured in racing games, but I digress…
