Well, the first trailer for Seth MacFarlane's Ted sequel — Ted 2 — has released… and it doesn't look that hot. As a fan of the first Ted, the sequel doesn't look as funny, which is often the problem with comedy sequels. It seems like there's going to be a rehash of some jokes, and I'm just not sure about the overall premise of the film.
The only reason I'm holding out hope is because this was not a Red Band trailer. I can guarantee that the Red Band trailer will be funnier than this one. Fingers crossed.
Written and directed by Seth MacFarlane, Ted 2 has newlywed couple Ted and Tami-Lynn trying to have a baby. In addition to needing John (Wahlberg) to donate his sperm, Ted will also have to prove he's a person in a court of law to qualify as a parent. The film stars Mark Wahlberg, Seth MacFarlane, Patrick Warburton, Dennis Haysbert, Jessica Barth, Morgan Freeman, Amanda Seyfriend and Liam Neeson.
Ted 2 releases in theaters June 26, 2015.
