Next week, Guardians will be able to enter Destiny's final raid, Crota's End, on a brand new "Hard Mode" difficulty. But why would one put themselves through the pain and suffering of level 33 enemies? For the loot, you fool, the loot!
"Aside from the usual thrill of battling aliens with your favorite weapons and your most trusted allies, Hard Mode beckons with treasures all its own. We reserved some coveted rewards for the best raiders among you. Killing Crota will give you all a fighting chance to earn them," Bungie said, revealing the sweet, sweet loot you can get from the raid.
Primary weapons can only be dropped in the Hard Mode version of Crota's End. With "the application of loving care" and Radiant Materials, each of these weapons can be upgraded to reach a Maximum Attack of 331.
Abyss Defiant – Auto Rifle
Word of Crota – Hand Cannon
Oversoul Edict – Pulse Rifle
Fang of Ir Yût – Scout Rifle
Eidolon Ally (formerly known as Husk of the Pit)
Crota's End on Hard Mode is the only place to obtain "Crux of Crota," the final piece required to upgrade the Eidolon Ally to the Necrochasm.
Bane of the Dark Gods
Glowhoo
Crota's End on Hard Mode offers a new exclusive color palette for your gear. It's called Glowhoo, but Bungie is letting whoever earns it first to show it off. Judging by the name, I'm going to guess it's something neon-like.
Hard Mode for Crota's End is set to go live on January 20 around 10:00am Pacific Time.
