By now, I am pretty sure everyone realizes that True Detective Season 2 will be much, much different than its first season. Just by watching this new minute-long trailer you can tell that. There are more characters to follow, the vibe is different, and the way it is shot is different. And that's totally fine! I actually prefer that HBO and Nic Pizzolatto be diverse and do something different than try to recreate Season 1 and the relationship of Rust Cohle and Marty Hart.
The trailer above shows some of the scandals, allegiances and drama that will take place in Season 2, and I think we are in for quite a tense, heart-pounding season. True Detective Season 2 starring Colin Farrell, Vince Vaughn, Rachel McAdams and Taylor Kitsch premieres on June 21, 2015.
