If you can't wait till this summer (allegedly) to get your hands on Pokemon GO, the developers are taking applications for field tests of the hotly anticipated mobile game. If you are interested in partaking in the field test, you can head over here. Niantic Labs laid out a complete overview of the field test, but here are the important points.
- The field test will only encompass users in the United States, Australia or New Zealand using Android & iOS devices only
-
Android: Version 4.3 and above is required. Atom-based Android devices are not supported.
-
iPhone: iPhone 5 with iOS 8 and above is required.
-
Field testers must refrain from sharing the content of the field test on social media/blog sites/etc. In other words, don't be this guy.
Obviously, leaks are liable to happen. People just can't help themselves. We already know what evolution and character creation look like, so we're likely to see more in the very near future.
