The Gears of War Ultimate Edition has gone gold! That means that the game is done with the development, the only thing left is for the game to be packaged and sent out for release!
This high definition remaster of the original Gears of War game that released in 2006 features five previously unreleased chapters of the campaign, all of which have been upgraded to 1080p resolution and 60 frames per second (along with the entirety of the game).
The Xbox One version of the Ultimate Edition is set to release August 25 for $40, but that's not the only Gears product releasing that day. Microsoft will also be releasing a $350 Xbox One bundle that includes a copy of the game. After the Ultimate Edition releases for the Xbox One, a PC version soon follow.
