Here’s the Star Wars VR game we have been waiting for

Trials of Tatooine game has first person lightsaber fights

It's probably the worst kept secret that a Star Wars VR game is on the way. Recently, Youtube channel ICMxLabs put up a quick glimpse of Star Wars VR: Trials of Tatooine but quickly took it down.

Of course, this did not stop a quick eyed Youtuber VRScout from picking up the video and allowing us to feast our eyes on its goodness. As you can see in the trailer, we are shown the Millennium Falcon in space, R2D2 on the desert plain and first person lightsaber fights. There is no detail on when the game may be released, but at least we have some footage finally.

John Gaeta, Creative Director of ICMxLab's, spoke a while back if you remember about the studio's projects. "What we're aiming for is to open the two-dimensional world of the movies and allow fans to walk into those worlds with the same visual fidelity," said John Gaeta, ILMxLab's creative director back in June 2015. "All that George begat caused a reassessment of innovation from movies to video games. The next 40 years of ILM is about exploding that universe with tech once again. xLab is as attuned to Silicon Valley as it is to Hollywood."
