Yesterday, we caught wind of a free-to-play PC Halo game exclusive to Russia. It's being developed by Innova under the watchful eye of 343 Industries, and as information began to trickle out on Halo Online, 343 Industries decided to come out and confirm its existence.
Unfortunately, 343 shared less information than the internet did. Halo Online will be running on a modified version of the Halo 3 engine and is optimized for "smooth performance on lower-end PCs). The game will not feature a campaign mode, it will be a multiplayer only game and there are absolutely no plans to bring it to the Xbox One.
Halo Online has been specifically tailored to Russian consumers, so if we ever saw it in other regions…it would never be this version.
So, it's the first Halo game to come back to PC and only one part of the world gets to play it. Check out the trailer for it above and yes, you can cry if you want to.
