Here’s what’s coming in Assassin’s Creed: Origins’ Day 1 Patch

The countdown is on for Assassin's Creed: Origins, and with Ubisoft in the midst of their final pre-launch preparations, they have sent out a heads up on what to expect from the game's Day 1 Patch. The patch will be between 1.2 and 1.4 GB depending on your platform, and Ubisoft recommends downloading it before you start up the game.

Here's a breakdown of the patch sizes:

  • Xbox One: 1.4 GB

  • PlayStation 4: 1.3 GB

  • PC: 1.2 GB

Ubisoft said that the patch will focus on fine-tuning game balance, a rework of Origins' Photo Mode, and performance and stability improvements. PC and Xbox One owners can begin their preload of Assassin's Creed: Origins right now while PS4 players can do so later tonight at 11 PM EST.

As far as the much talked about Xbox One X patch, that will come at a later time in "Early November" and will include the 4K and Dolby Atmos support for the console. That same patch will also add support for HDR displays on all platforms.

Assassin's Creed: Origins releases this Friday, October 27th, 2017 for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.
